High Output Alternator (200amps) for 1JZ -> Help Newb
Hey all, my alternator took a dump on me monday so now its time to replace it....
I have an In-Dash dvd player, turbo timer, & boost controller installed right now, but plan on putting in a sound system, gauges, h.i.d.'s, & a couple other electronics within the year so I would like to know what should I do about my battery/alternator situation.
I can get a remanufactured 100amp alternator for $140, or get a $200amp one for $60 more. My question is....if I get the 200amp alternator, is there anything else I would have to do to make it work properly? Bigger gauge wiring? Fuses? Battery? etc.?
