I don't think so but if they are then you could just put on a cable t-body to solve that problem.

I did it. i sold it to a guy on here in january. very awesome engine: dead quiet, instant torque, 300hp, got 26mpg on the highway.
Mine was out of a 97 Chaser, and i just used the Chaser harness and wired it up like an aftermarket EMS with my own relays to make it simpler

if you do it, be 100% sure you get one out of a Soarer, and not a Chaser, and try to get a 96.5-97 and not a 98-99. the 98+s have the drive by wire which will be difficult to setup. you can identify which car it came out of by whether it's front sump or rear sump. i bet 90% of them are front sump, because chasers were a lot more common.
don't even bother with the swap unless you can get a rear sump one.

if you can get one out of a 96-97 Soarer, i bet it would be a pretty damn easy swap.

Great info! Only my swap is going to be in a 97 sc400 so not as easy as an sc300

i can tell you i would not do that swap again (1jzvvti into sc400).
especially if it's a 97 sc400.

Probably wiring. The 97 is OBDII which means more complex wiring. I dont think the sc400 vs sc300 should be THAT big of a deal.

OBD2 doesn't really mean crap in FL he doesn't need to worry about Smog (emission laws).
It's really not that bad, there is not too much difference in the wiring but it is different.
If you can't do the wiring yourself just send it to tweak and be done with it, it's wiring if i can't do it i won't mess with it, let a professional take care of that for you.
