Default Will this swap work for me?

I found a good deal on a gte swap for my 96 sc300 (motor, ecu, harness) but the problem is the motor is a 98+ vvt-i 2jzgte, if I swap it in will my old electronics still work i.e a/c, guages, etc?

I've had SEVERAL people recommend not to do the VVT-i GTE swap. Be prepared for a long list of headaches.

first off, there is quite a bit of wiring involved when installing a 2JZ-GTE into the SC. its not horribly bad, but its a lot. i would imagine that there isnt too much more on the vvt-i, but i cant say i know for sure. i dont see why everything shouldnt work if they are both obd2.

oh, where in florida are you? there is a place here in orlando called All Version Motoring. they put a K20 into a civic hatch.... if that isnt a wiring nightmare, i dont know what is... they do very good work.

It will be a wiring mess, but it can be done, with alot of money and a shop familer with 2JZGTE swaps in the JZZ31 body.

i am looking into doing a similar swap (sc300 OBD2, swaping a 2jzgte with vvt-i) and am probably doing it in our shop at school, so do you know of a good place to get info from that would tell me a little bit more about the wiring problem i will be running into. thanks.
