How to get 350hp on a 290hp sc400 vvti?
Is this achievable? I'm looking at a custom exhaust, bfi mod, imf headers, and altogether fine tuned via safc at a dyno shop. I'm really shooting for 400hp with the addition of nitrous. I figured a 50 shot on a v8 can be ran all day than compared to a 75 shot. A small 400hp beast should do pretty well for a Sc.

Initially I was thinking 325hp na bpu and to add a 75 shot of nitrous. Then I hear the rods off the 98 vvti 1uz can't support too much nitrous, so I'm hoping for 350hp na bpu and to add a 50shot on top for a total of 400hp.

Yeah I have a graph somewhere overlapping them in my filing system.
Mine - 211whp/230tq
His - 230whp/249tq
Both are 92 SC400 Engines.
The only difference is he is running a 4.1x rear end, and I am at a 3.92
We both have exhaust, stock ecu... We dyno'd at the same time.

^^^thats gotta be fun, having a V8 with a 5spd....i read somewhere on here i believe where people were sayin we should not underestimate the 1uz, they can hold power, or does that only refer to the non vvti ones

..but man, oh how I would love 350 hp I've read all the threads about the headers and exhaust. Just doesnt seem to be any easy (or cheap) way of doing it. Seeme like any of the options available are kind of a PITA
