This is in a 93 GS300 with 214k on it, seems like there is more action and tech. knowledge over here so that's why I posted here.


So after pulling my AC compressor out because it was seized up, putting in the new power steering pump and making 3 trips to the parts joint to try and get the right length belt. I find out I have an odd noise coming from the engine. To me it sounds like its coming from the crank pulley or that general area?
There is no visible cracks or missing rubber or anything on the pulley. When I did have the drive belt off , I gave the crank pulley a tug and it seemed to have some up and down play in it? I didn't notice the noise until I fixed my PS pump because the pump was so loud, now that's its quite again I heard the mystery noise.


Any advise or ideas of what you think it maybe be would be super great.
