Hey if anybody can help with this horrible squeal that would be amazing!!! Is it the belt tensioner? Or the water pump? I hear a grinding noise from the water pump pulley area. But when I spray silicon at the tensioner pulley the squeal will stop.

1. Under WOT my A/C will blow warm air then go back to cold.

2. VSC warning light comes on.

I've already tried replacing the tensioner pulley with no luck. Please help! It is driving me crazy!!

Have you replaced the belt yet?

 

The belt is new. I was spinning the water pump pulley last night by hanf and that was the only pulley giving off any noise. But I dont see how it is making that squealing noise.

 

The water pump is a VERY common failure part on the 2IS. I would start there; it doesn't necessary leak to be a bad unit. Others, like you, have only heard squeaking/grinding/etc.

Ask the dealership to warranty the water pump, as it is part of the powertrain warranty.

^Awesome! I assume they fixed it all for free too. Hard to find a 2IS still with the factory water pump any more. LOL!
