It can be:

alternator bearing
a/c compressor bearing
pulley no.1 bearing
pulley no.2 bearing
tensioner pulley bearing
water pump
power steering pump (small chance)

Yeah, definitely not normal. And does sound like a bearing.

The idler pulley and tensioner bearings are more likely to fail and cheaper to replace. The noise can be isolated by a more skilled or attentive mechanic.

I went to another mechanic and he said it's the power steering but also he said that's it's electrical and that my car don't use fluid which it does so idk if this guy didn't have a clue what he was saying

I got almost the same noise on the passenger side and after changing everything above, i was the alternator, strangerly, it wasn't obvious.

It's actually fairly easy to pinpoint these noises...I use an aluminum yardstick and just stick it on the non-rotating (obviously) part of any device or rotating mechanism. I diagnosed a failed alternator in my wifes Pilot by sticking the end of the yardstick on the cast body of the alternator. The scraping/whining noise travels right up the stick and to your ear...very effective.

to clarify, you touch one end to the part of the engine that you think the noise is coming from, and put your ear to the other end.

That man doesn't have any clue. Those cars have fluid power steering with a fat vane pump.

I went to a Lexus specialist and he used a stethoscope that had a long stick and he said it sounded like a bearing but to take it Tuesday so he can fully check it .should I ask him to check the alternator ?
