my car is already swapped, im sure there would be people interested. Perhaps i can outsource things i don't enjoy doing to your shop, i.e. changing clutch, etc.

I am of the school of thought: if you want to do it right, do it once, do it yourself.

I wired in my entire swap as well, there are a few self done complete swap/wiring into MK3's, cressida, and other sc300's in the bay area.

I'm in agreement on that $600 quote, seems WAY too low to me. We've done swaps pretty fast but I still tell people to give it a week, and that swap starts at $1900 at our shop. I'd be a little concerned about someone doing a swap on my Lexus for $600...

Seriously, I did the wiring myself and my hands show it.

The money u send to a professional is a fair price for the toll on the average person to figure it out- if you like this kind of semi-sadistic pain, then i understand (I do). Otherwise, sane individuals (or those without many swaps under their belts) are better off having it professionaly handleded.

my girlfriend is still complaining that my hands are ripped up from my car - i go through boxes and boxes of gloves too!!!.

my first engine swap (circa 2003) car was also a LHD-> RHD + JDM full climate control + 3x the stock power of the car. it was painful, took alot of time.

the 2jzgte swap is easier AND harder in some sense. for sure- its not a drop off car + $600 and u get it back later in the afternoon...........

I know a couple shops in the country that could do it 1 day proper-- you'd be paying more than $2k for all the labor (at least i would, if i wanted to trust my car).

Thanks, I was going to outsource a 1jz single turbo with r154 trans and have a professional swap it. So proper labor is like 2k and the set up is 4K
