Default need advice on an sc300

ok i curretly have an oppurtunity to purchase a silver sc300 with over 150k miles on it for $1200..its an automatic but has power everything it comes with an amp and 12" subwoofer..it also has 20'' chrome polo rims...here is the problem it doesnt start or turnover so i am thinking it needs a starter...the body is in good condition and the interior is ok...i was thinking of purchasing this car and making it my project car doing an auto to manula swap and also possibly turboing the motor or swapping it...my power goals are about 300-375 hp nothing crazy and i have a total of $8000 minus price of car to spend..so my question pretty much is it possible to build this car to those hp levels on my budget..and do u think this project is worth undertaking...keep in mind though that this is my initial budget as i am sure as time progress i will save more more for this car...thanks and i look forward to ur replies...

Welcome to the forums. I would say get it and either swap a 1JZ or 2JZ. You might not want to turbo the motor with that many miles on it. The 1JZ will the the less expensive swap, and with a single turbo upgrade, on mild boost will most likely get you to your power levels. I would say $6800 for a swap and a turbo kit would just about get you there. You may need to set aside a little more, but it would get you close.

Try searching a bit too. Make sure to do all your research before hand. You don't want to run into any unfortunate surprises along the way.
