HKS VPC install on a 1jz-gte sc300
1995 sc300... 1jz AUTO swap into an auto car. I have a HKS VPC and im having a hell of a time finding what chip to put in the thing.
I also cant find a wire diagram to install the thing. there are plenty of write ups on installing it into a mk4 supra with 2jzgte... but i dont have that. i have a 1jz sc300.....
any help would be amazing.
thanks.

i planned to run a safc. my goal is 400whp. i read thats all the 1jz auto can handle with a cooler anyway so that sounds good to me.

The 1J sensor doesn't actually "limit" the boost, does it? I think that it just clamps the MAP signal, and makes the car much harder to tune at the top of the airflow map, unless you have something that can control the upper VE portion of the map. Actually, the HKS MAP sensor that comes with the VPC is limited to 24.5psi too, as I have logs from awhile back where the signal was clamped. I just went into the VE table of that map and made adjustments to compensate, but yes, more MAP sensor would solve that. I like the AEM sensor better than the GM though.
