Default electric fan question

I bought the dual flex fans for my 300. I don't want to hook them up to ignition and have it run all the time while the key is on. I'm going to wire in a temp. switch in the thermostat housing (just drill and tap and run relay). My prob. is I don't know what degree switch to buy. I think the stock thermostat is a 180, if anyone has done this and maybe has part no. to the switch, please share this info. I've done numerous serches and it seems everyone is just wiring them direct, which is out of the question. Let me know what you think!

I have two 12" electric fans sitting in my room right now for this same reason. Don't know how to run the temp relay! I know it would be easier to have it running the whole time, but I'd rather them pull on at around 180-200 somewhere.

I can't help you anymore than you have been already. I'll talk to a few of my buddies here and see if we can come up with anything.

Flex-a-Lite has one that goes through the radiator and triggers the fans for pretty cheap.

On my ford probe fans, they have a high and low setting. I put the low on a relay and ran it to a 12v ignition source, so they run whenever the car is on, and they don't take too much amperage, but if the car runs hot, I wired the high setting to my factory valet switch in the driver's compartment. This would be used mainly after track passes.

Here's what turbochris did, and what I was planning to do verbatim, when I have a day free to go to the salvage yard.
