SC400 periodic engine vibration
I have an interesting and annoying vibration problem with my 1995 SC400 (1UZFE engine) 145000 km. The vibration perceptible on steering wheel in Neutral/Park about 1800 rpm. The vibration has a periodicity: 3-4sec vibration and 3-4sec smooth and that repeat while the rpm remains constant.
I changed the spark plugs, ignition wires, air filter but the vibration still exist.
Service told it looks that one of the cylinders not working properly and need to check compression, transformer, rotor, timing belt.. etc. But i think either is malfunctioning the vibration would be permanent, not periodic. Any help would be appreciated.

Mine does that, too (100K miles) and I changed plugs, wires, caps, rotors, air filter, reset ECU, fuel filter, fuel 'cleaner'.
Looking through some of the posts here, it could be just cleaning the throttle body, but I haven't done that one yet

My I suggest you have your SC attached to a good diagnostic machine. It will determine whether it is a single cylinder or multiple. Then you have a clue as to the problem resolution.
"Shotgunning parts" may not be the best way to go, since you may be installing an incompatible aftermarket part without knowledge if it. This compounds the original problem.

Try this as well. This seems to be the culprit for many of the vibration issues.

Problem solved!!
The key was the transmission mount change, thank for your help. Tranny mount change solved three symptoms:
1. Vibration
2. Clutch sound
3. Spinning noise
The first two are clear, but the last not for me.. but dont care the result is very good
