Question SC/E-shift/2JZ-GTE

ok guys i was doing some reserch on GTE swaps with the E-shift/manumatic like the GS400's has. i've done my searches and found one thread on it in the gs forums, and the guy didn't go through with it. so i never really got an answer.

this is what i found,
5) with relation to the steering wheel controls for manual mode, how will that work with a supra auto tranny? will the swap eliminate this because of the change of ecus?
"No, not necessarily. the E-shift can be functional… the 1998 Japan Supra did come with the E-shift as well as the Aristo did, the USA Supra trans did not. Although they are the same transmission, I’m guessing the USA trans will just need the proper items and wires added for it to work"

has anyone ever thought of doing that at all? the reason why im asking is that i dont want to give the luxury of not having an auto trans, but at the same i want that sporty feeling when i get on it. also is it worth the money to get a manumatic, or will it cost the same as a 6-speed swap, or should i just leave as is?
any opinions will be appreciated

ummmm sounds like a good idea but sorceing all the right parts will be killer
and who knows how much work it will take cuz labor =$
and it will be twice as expencive if you are the first one to try it because thats the nature of the beast.
but after saying all that i would guess a 6spd would be cheaper and more fun.
