My (2013 ES350) mirrors barely lower at all when either is selected before shifting to reverse. In prior Acura TL, the mirror selected had an appreciable (and appreciated!) drop, helping to avoid abrasions of the right side wheels in parallel parking.

Anyone else noticing this? Since there is some downward movement, I don't want to make a service appointment for no good reason, in the event that this minimal lowering is the norm.

They're adjustable. Put the car in reverse and use the mirror adjuster to place both mirrors to the position you want them in when you reverse.
