Uh...What kind of Lexus? What year? When does the tranny slip?
First thing to check is the tranny fluid level, but couldn't tell you anything if I don't know what model of lexus is having these issues.

I have a 1992 sc400 and I did drain and replace my fluid about 6 month ago and that is when my problems first started. I simply drained and replaced the filter only. I had read articles on this site on how to do tghis on the older trans.

Unfortunately, because the transmission was most likely not maintained properly its entire life, deposits had built up inside the unit. Addition of new fluid, whether just an incremental method or full flush most likely loosened these deposits and now you have a potential valve body or simply a clutch issue. Chances are if you retained the old fluid and put it back in, it would work better, but no guarantees on that...
look on the bright side, you can find transmissions for those cars all over the place and cheap...
