The lexus/toyota tranny needs a "type IV" equivalent or better fluid. That may help isolate the right amsoil fluid for you.

As far as how many quarts,...well,....how are you going to go about draining all the fluid?
Are you just dropping the pan off, cause that's only 2-4 quarts, then there's another several quarts in the torque converter that are part of the same circulation, and then there's probably another quart still "in" the tranny and pump.

As you might guess. just doing the few quarts in the pan with synthetic replacement is kind of a waste of money because it'll mix with the other tranny fluid in the converter, thereby diluting it substantially.

Ok here it goes... the Amsoil fluid you need is the Universal Transmission Fluid, if you read up on it the Toyota Type IV fluid is covered, trust me I ordered it 3 days ago. As far as the amount of quarts... It all depends on how you are going to flush it and if you plan on flushing the torque converter or what not. If you do a flush with the Bilstein machine like some of the 2gen guys did a week or so ago, I believe they used something like 15 quarts.
Here is a link that might help, read it, love it, it'll definately answer your question:
