Rust ! I Hate It !
Hey guys, my rotors is getting rusted and its ANNOYING the hell outta me. Its the part right behind the bolts/hubs of my wheels. Its turning brownish. Anyone know a good rust remover or any ways to go about taking that crap off? I have a 5 spoke design and it shows. If I had a shield-like design of a wheel, I wouldn't worry about this too much because the rust would be covered.
Thanks.
Thanks.

umm i think if u get rid off the rust, itll come right back. basically i think your going to have to live with it....but maybe someone else might kno of a solution..but i doubt it..other than covering that area with these covers they sell..it looks real cheesy tho..i saw it on a ford explorer once..

D-Man, I think unless you do something with different brakes it's gonna be a fact of life. Every Lex I've owned seems to use the same material for the rotors. They all showed rust there. Bummer.

Hell YEAH you can paint that part..front and back rotors!!! it's the ONLY thing you can do..I was going to tell you to do it but someone I guess already beat me...It's safe it won't harm your brakes in any way...just take your wheels off cover the caliper and paint away make sure you put like 2 coats on there...I used regular Home Depot heat spray paint in silver cost me $4.99...or you can buy caliper paint and spend like 20-50 dollars...it's up to you!

Superjoe thanks ! You are THE-MAN when it comes to self-help improving techniques Let me ask you something, how is your paint on your calibers holding up? Since that area creates alot of heat due to braking, I am worried after awhile the paint will wear away I just want to paint the part behind the wheel black and the cailbers silver like yours.
