Did LX470 ever get factory iPod / mp3 connectivity?
I have an '03, which I love, and I'm considering an '07, but I can't determine for certain if Lexus ever added iPod connectivity before flipping to the 570. I am suspecting not, which is a bummer if my hunch is correct. If that is the case, are there any more recent work-arounds than the one identified in this thread?

Jasonm641,
I bought a 2007 about 3 months ago, and the 470 never did come with factory ipod or mp3 input/adapter. I did have one installed, and after trying 2 different ipod adapters, decided on the VAIS SL2vi

thanks
Thanks - I guess the combination of low vehicle volume and generational change in '08 kept if from being a worthwhile add from the factory. Take care.

I have a 2007 and it did not come with an iPod kit. I know some dealers will install them. When I first looked into getting a kit, it would disable the XM radio. I waited and found one on Crutchfield. Installed myself. I can controll the iPod via the nav and steering wheel, XM radio works great. Much better sound than a modulater.

MP3 for my 2006 LX470
1. Ebay 50$ and 1 week delivery time:
2. 30 min replacing cassette device with virtual changer:
3. Result is that you have 6 folders of MP3 and can use usb, sd or 3.5mm:
4. If you want your original DVD or CD works same time you need to order Y-cable on Ebay for 8-9$.
You are welcome for any questions.

That's really cool ^^^
Curious about any updates how the unit has performed since you installed it almost a year ago?
How does the "Yatour" unit mount? It looks like you just ziptied it in place? Any rattles as a result of that?
That's one of the coolest things I've seen.

It's working great from the moment it was installed. I bought Y-cable to connect OEM DVD but didn't do that yet. Maybe I just don't need it. Regarding mounting I made self made bracket you can see it with black tape and ziptied just in case, so it sit there like a native. So it is best solution for small budget so far.

On my 04 ES, I just used a few CDs created from FLAC audio for lossless audio quality.
My LX does not support FLAC audio, only MP3, but I may commission an old iphone for use as a media player through the lightning cable.
