factory Ipod adapter question

factory Ipod adapter question
Has anyone deleted their factory XM for the factory Ipod adapter? Is the factory Ipod adapter any good? Can I actually scroll through music with more control over than the USB input interface. BTW I have a 2011. Basically my question is, is it worth it for me to get the factory ipod adapter over just using the USB with my ipod. I dislike the lack of control and functionality of accessing my music through the USB. I'd like something like the Vaistech but.... I already have the Vaistech AVIC6 android integration and apparently I can't have both.... any input would be greatly appreciated.

Yes I have factory Nav. I just have a 120GB ipod classic that has my entire music library and I just want to be able to control it more conveniently. Currently I'm plugged into the USB in the center console but finding music is a nightmare. Takes forever and the lockout while moving is killing me. Yes I use music on my phone which stream via Bluetooth and pandora etc. But I still like to listen to MY music from time to time. Thanks for the input so far

Oh, well you covered what I was going to say.... I was going to tell you to just use bluetooth... but you got that covered! Have you thought of a bluetooth hub? you can use a aux cable to connect your ipod to it and then stream music via bluetooth... I do not have first hand experience with this so I am not sure what kind of quality it puts out.
