Drivers memory seat
Last month I purchased a CPO '07 LS 460L w/Executive Seating Package. So far I love the car. Light year's ahead of the Benz and Cadillacs I've previously owned in terms of luxury and technology.
I wonder if there is any way to program the drivers seat to an exit mode, so the seat goes back when the ignition is turned off for ease in exiting, and then resetting to the memory setting once the ignition is on. My '04 Explorer EB has that feature and I got spoiled. I know that the dealership programmed some personal settings when the vehicle was originally purchased. The question is whether this feature is available and whether it can be done by the owner. The manuals are mute on this subject.

madlad, congrats on the car, I have the same and love it. As far as the driver seat is concerned I don't think you can program it to do what you want...only way it could be possible would be the program your driving setting to memory 1 and than your exit settings on memory 2. You would have to press memory 2 (while the car is on) for your exit settings to take place before you turn the car off.

Yep - on my '10 LS you can set the seat to go all the way back (the steering wheel raises as well) when the ignition is turned off. It returns to the memory setting when the car is started.

I love the easy-exit feature on my '10 LS. You can even customize on the NAV screen how far back you want the seat to go. When you get in, the seat moves forward upon starting the car. When you exit, the seat remains forward, even if the car is off, until you unfasten your seat belt.

Just curious, is there anything to stop the seat travel if it encounters an obstruction in the back seat? I am envisioning something in the back getting crushed when the seat does it's thing.

No, other than turning the feature off altogether, the seat will move back in earnest either halfway or all the way.
