Since you're the first one to have the LS460, you should do the honor and open up the stereo and fiddle around. j/k

You might have to give it a couple more months until more owners get their cars and for others to figure it out.

Do not think there is any override for the DVD playing with car in option. However, the GS had a trick (volume button) for overriding the NAV entry restrictions with the car in motion. I tried this method on the 2007 LS without ML audio and it did not work. So I too would like to know the button sequence so we can enter NAV destinations with the car in motion

AMEN! Why can't they be like Garmin and offer an in-motion lockout that can be defeated if the user is willing to live with the consequences?

Ray -

Have you tried the nav work-around that works on the LS 430?

Press menu, then volume, then press the icon next to the word volume in the top left corner of the screen, then press the space in the bottom left corner of the screen (there is nothing there,it's empty space), then press the icon next to the word volume in the top left corner of the screen a second time, then press the space in the bottom left corner of the screen a second time, and you should then see a menu. Press and hold Override, and you should then be able to enter a destination even with the car moving. I have no idea if this works with the LS460.

I tried this volume button sequence on my new LS460 and it did not work(has NAv but not ML audio). If anyone comes up with another button sequence for overiding NAv with car in motion-please post

We might have to wait for a service guy to reveal the secret of accessing the service menu in the 460. I would guess that menu will still have the override feature that allows you to enter a destination even with the car in motion.
