I have Lexus RX 330 with the Nav and the DVD rear entertainment. The Dvd goes to the nav when the parking break is on and you are not moving. I would like to be able to have the video while moving etc.



How Hack The Nav/dvd To Use While Driving?

All i know is the way to make the Nav work while moving.

Do you own an RX330 with the brown background theme?

if so:
my way of getting into that menu is to go into the info screen and find the DVD button which gives you the disc version. then you push the top left corner, then push the bottom left corner, then top the top left corner, then touch the bottom left corner, then push the bottom right corner. that will bring you to the sceen. and click and hold the override button.

 

thanks, thats working, but do you know how to cut wires and install the switch to watch dvd on front display when driving(I have a rear entertainment system on the ceiling) I'll apreciate any help

You do you want to do what exactly? Play the DVD while you drive in the front LCD? It's illegal fyi and for good reason. I have the ability in my prev. car Kenwood but never used for while driving. It's like asking to get killed and take people with you I thought maybe for my front passenger but then it would be best to get a separate LCD that angles towards the passenger to make it so you don't get stopped by the cops or get distracted.

I am of assuming that you can use the rear seat LCD to watch for passengers while the car is in motion. If not I dunno why they even have it.

I did this on my 2006 RX400H. DPDT switch. 6 wires. My passenger likes to watch movies. not the driver.

Now I need one for the 2011 RX450. Lockpick in FL does not have one yet?

If you are still interested in doing this, I have a brand new module for sale that you can install that will allow you to enter destinations and POI's on the navigation as well as control the video screens. It's model specfic to the RX330.

hey there. I tried doing this but it doesn't seem to work. My DVD version is 3.1. When I went to the DVD menu there were no buttons to push.
