Hey all, I bought one of the shift boots below and am having trouble figuring out what step 3 details, particularly, the little bit in the bubble.
It came with half a dozen small foam sticky strips i assume are used somewhere.





If anyone can read japanese and can translate it would be much appreciated.

well I dont speak Japanese but I did just take my console apart and I think I recognize the part in the bubble.......once u remove heated seat wood console panel....then shift ****.......then remove chrome trim......then remove wood console panel that surrounds the shifter. Well at this point they ask u to remove the gear shift indicator the grey piece.....unclip the visible 4 clips and pull up.......the trick is there is a wire attached. The wire goes to a clear plastic piece that is snapped under the grey piece....this clear plastic piece has a light attached as well. I believe the clear plastic piece is the piece in the bubble........Being that u are installing a shift boot I assume they just want u to remove it. I will enclose pics
