04 – Side mirror remote control problem
I had to manually forced it in position. I hope I didn’t break anything.
When side mirrors are on automatic, the passenger mirror is still folding in and out during power on/off. It also sill look down for sidewalk view in reverse and return in position when on Drive.
So I suspect a defective remote control switch.
Did anyone got similar problem? If yes, how much should I expect to pay for a fix?

Didn't you try adjusting the mirrors before getting this from the old man?

I just spent an hour cleaning the connectors and trying different things. Although I’m still having the issue, at least I found the culprit. Unlike the initial poster in the thread, in my case it is not the main connectors, but the right-left side selector. If anything can be done, I have to disassemble the switch itself to fix it. Unfortunately I didn’t succeed.
So as I posted there I have a temporary workaroud. I can get the mirror to ajust if I apply the right pressure on the center switch. But I might as well give up and spit the 280$ for that darn switch.

Then I got a so call full inspection at a Lexus dealer.

Have you seen the movie "Choke"?
This med student dropout is at stripper club. He sees a nice blonde with a mole on her leg and he says to her... Hey babe you better have that mole checked out. Blondes are running at higher risks of skin cancer.
Next time he returns he sees her again. Hey what did you do to your hairs?
She replies you scared me with that blonde thing. So I got them dyed.
