Put your right/left mirror switch, the one in a hidden control panel where you select which mirror before adjusting, in the middle. That will do it.

I do not believe you can have just the "passenger" side tilt down. It's either both or nothing.

Isn't it possible to adjust the tilt down position? I can't remember if it was the GS or my cab.

That is what the manual says. I just looked it up. If you put the mirror switch in the middle (neutral position), there is no tilting. Otherwise, both mirrors tilt down on reverse.

Why would you want to do that? This function acts like the old curb feelers and lets you see the curb as you parallel park your car or the lines as you back in to a parking space. It can help prevent you from hitting the curb and scratching or damaging your rims/wheels and your alignment. If anything, the drivers side tilt feature is the least useful. But if you still want to do it, you will not be able to just turn one mirror off and leave the other one on. It's both on or both off only.

Sometimes it's not so hot though. I always have this feature turned off because I have to back out through a gate and believe me when I say that my rear wheels are the last things that I want to look at. Like I said, I do believe it's adjustable.

Unless it's changed on 07, I can't adjust them on mine 06. It's either on (both tilt down) or off. I really like the function. It makes it easier to see for parking and even just backing up from garage. I agree with HotShot, the driver side is useless. LOL... with backup camera and tilt mirrors, I just might consider driving the GS backward!!

Too bad you don't know what you did to make it this way, because it's supposed to be impossible to do on the 350/450.

interesting. since I've had the car for 4wks. they both tilt down. The driver side is a bonus especially when you need to park in SF with parallel parking and street side spots...

Mine always tilted down when you are in reverse,it did this for several months. Now almost everytime you go into reverse you have to push the switch to R to get them to tilt down.I'm wondering if you use the scantool and go into personal preferences that you can permanently engage the tilt down without having to switch the button in the panel everytime.
