A/C Thermal Switch
I'm having a problem with my A/C fan not spinning fast enough. The car literally overheats when I'm sitting in idle traffic for too long under extreme heat. I was told by the dealer that there are 2 thermal switches, one on top the engine and the other underneath somewhere, but he didn't want to elaborate. I anyone familiar with this? Does anyone out there know about how the A/C fan should work. I'm talking about the small fan that's in front of the condensor.

Is your problem that the car overheats? or the AC doesnt perform?
The 2 electric fans are for AC performance while in traffic, not engine cooling. I'd suspect the viscous clutch if you say you are overheating in traffic.
