window problem
Ok here goes, i took my LS out for a ride today and for the first time had somebody in the back seat. well we didn't get to far when they couldn't put the window back up. i tried from my driver side and it went up with no problem. then we tried it again and the same problem occured, it just won't go up when you try the switch but goes down. i have to close the window from the master switch on the driver side. did anyone have a problem like this before? It's a 94 and i like to fix this myself before taking it to a Lexus Dealer. any help would be appreciated. NEO GEO

That was my consern SQ-LS not to remove the door panel cause i heard people here say it's a pain in the *** to get them right again without breaking some clips, etc. maybe this weekend I'll give it a try and let you know how i do. NEOGEO

SQ-LS you were right about not having to take the door panel off. i took the ash tray out and there was a phillips head screw down at the bottom once i remove it all i had to do is just pop it up from the switch end. i did clean it but it was like brand new but it still doesn't work. i notice a few resistors attached to a mini board next to the switch i wonder if one of the resistors are bad? there is a tiny lite for the ash tray that is not lit up i guess it's time to change that too. have any suggestions where i might get a switch? yea yea i know go to the Lexus dealer. oh one more thing do you know how to change the bulb in the seat belt buckle? It's the switch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I took the one from the left side rear that worked and hooked it up to the right side and presto it worked perfectly. now to find one or maybe try to fix the broken one. i still think it might be one of those resistors but not sure. Thanks all you guys for the help this club really ROCKS. NEOGEO

I've been trying for over a week or so to either get my switch checked out to find out what's wrong with it, or been trying to find a used one in great shape. well i couldn't even find someone to check it out let alone find one in a salvage yard. yes and i checked e-bay everyday but nothing i would want to purchase right now. so if anyone can help me with this part i would deeply appreciate it, thanks for any help.
