Can i use a 91' transmission in my 93' car?
As topic.
So i got a 93 with a 91 tranny and my speedometer is showing about 30 miles too much all
the time.
The needle is not flickering or jumping around at all,it just show way too high speed.
What can be wrong?
Does the 93 transmission have less "teeth" on the sensor wheel?

Could be different as the 90-92 has a mechanical odometer and the 93-94 has an electronic display odometer.
Seems strange though as you would have thought if the speed sensor was incorrect you would get a percentage error so 10% up at 30 would read 33 and at 60 it would read 66MPH not a 30MPH error throughout the whole speed range.
I'm asuming the needle is a zero when the car is stationary?

There's a design change and there's a no direct compatibility.
In order to overcome this, you need to use an interface circuit which converts the signal to match. But this converter is not sold at all as a unit in the market. A PIC micro controller, a FPGA or some discrete circuit can be a choice to make a converter by someone who is capable.
