Default Power Window Programming

Since I bought my car 4 years ago, I had a problem with AUTO raising and lowering of the window on the driverīs side .... it never worked. All other windows were OK.
Since then I changed the window motor, door ECU and master switch on the driverīs door. Nothing helped.
Recently I have read a topic about this problem on GS and RX forums, but I didnt find anything on LS400 forum.

Now I also have a problem with the passengerīs window. AUTO works, but when I raise the window, it stops halfway and goes down about 2 inches and stops. I noticed that this problem came after I put tint on window and was raising and lower the window many times and turning ignition on/off.

If anyone can gives some advice, I would be very appreciated !!!!

What year LS?

My suggestion would be to disconnect the neg battery cable. Although I don't suspect this should have any part of the window programming function. My thought is the multiplex system. Yamae may have insight with this.

Your windows are working normally; the motors are sensing too much mechanical resistance when raising, and are designed to back down, in case it might be someone's finger being pinched, etc. You need to get inside the doors, and use a good silicone lubricant in the window slider mechanism. Your window tint is probably contributing to the problem also. You might get by by spraying the window tracks above the threshold with silicone, but a thorough job requires getting inside the door panel.

Yes, seems like something blocks the passengerīs windowīs movement a little bit. If I help it with the hand, it goes up all the way. But what causes it, I couldn't figure it out, I need to take the whole door apart. I sprayed some oil on the rails, but it did not help.
OK, but what about the driverīs window - I have no idea !!

Is it possible for you to measure the current to the motor?
I don't know enough about this area but as far as I know, the programming by a user is not needed for this car. The intelligent controller (the door computer + MPX body computer) with a built-in ROM and the limit switch in the motor control everything. You cannot rewrite the ROM.

The controller is checking the current and when it exceeds the limit, the motor is forced to stop. What I imagine is that your window's rail or something is away from the original condition and it causes bigger current. In order to confirm this, to measure the current may be a first step to do. If the current measurement is not easy, an alternative method is the voltage drop check.

Another item I worry about is the open connection between the door computer and the MPX body computer. The cable between the body and the door is stressed every time the door is open or closed. I have heard of this type of problem happened sometime at colder places.
