Lexls.com gives instructions on how to bleed the brakes but we are going to use a vac pump to do this. Read that it is safer than the old way (which is what lexls.com shows on his website). Should we still use the bleed pattern he recommends? Starting at rear on the driver's side, then going to each wheel counterclockwise. E.g., next would be right rear passenger side, then right front passenger, then front driver's side last. My car has ABS. I do not know if my mechanic has the know how to do anything with that so plan to leave that alone. Just changing out the brake fluid is all I am having him do. .Tx for your input.

In traditional thoughts for a left hand drive car with the brake reservoir on the left side, RR, LR, RF and LF. With the ABS/TRAC systems, the order may not be as important in past times compared to cars that don't have ABS/TRAC brake systems.

edit With the ABS/TRAC systems, varies with manufacturer. LR, RR, RF and LF for the LS.

Ok, thanks. We looked over the brake lines etc. and on this car at least it was rear driver's side, rear passenger side, front passenger, then front driver's side. So for the first gens, lexls.com had it absolutely right.
