Cool Exhaust/Muffler Advice

1998 LS. I am looking to replace my mufflers. I would like to have just a little deep sound out of them. Nothing loud by know means. May be a little rumble. I have read about the magnaflow and Borla. Do not have a bundle to spend. Moderate pricing I guess. Would like to have the tips aready attached. I will appreciate any advice & suggestions. There are some many to choose from. Just looking for the right sound...... Thanks

I'm not sure how similar the 98's exhaust is to a 90's, but I just unbolted my mufflers for kicks and got a much better tone, but it is by no means "loud"

ucf10 vs ucf20 is similar to exhaust design but the ucf20 is more hidden and tucked under the bumper. i too have heard to just unbolt the rear mufflers for a nicer tone, but of course you'll get fumes into the cabin.

Could always do a muffler delete to see if you like it (probably will). From there run new pipes to new stainless tips and you are in business for not much cash out of pocket.

Just to make sure I understand. Just have them take the mufflers off. Run an a small extention pipe to the tips. And that is it. That would be great! So that would give me just a deep tone (rumble). Question I am a mechnical rookie. Would it effect HP. I want to keep the 290... Thanks I appreicate all of you input.
