Default Anyone with Borla exhaust changed the muffler tip?

It just seems too small and doesn't fill the exhaust gap on the bumper. The stock exhaust tip fills the gap and makes the car look complete from behind.

Whats the normal procedure? Go to a muffler shop and cut off the tip and weld a larger one?

I agree, it seems to not look as aggressive as some of the other choices out there.
Any work around that? I'd be interested in finding out.

I've talked about this, but dont have a resolution yet. I have tips in mind but I'm not sure if they'll even fit. Curious to hear as well if anyone has done this yet

Is it possible to cut and switch the stock tips?

Still no one has replaced the tips? Also have anyone do resonator deletes on the Borla catback?
I know they have resonators but they sound so good already. I'm sure res delete would make it louder but not sure about the sound quality.

You won't regret it! Trust me, the video clips and reviews sold it for me.

I called and talked to a Borla rep... he wasn't very happy when I told him I was going to cut the tips and weld on larger ones. I still have not done it yet though.

Are you positive this is true? If so, a resonator delete could be all that is needed to get the GTHaus type of vicious sound out of the borla catback. Could you provide a picture of where the resonator is in the piping?

LOL, I'm sure he took it personally being that you're basically telling him...the tips on your setup are ugly...

Hmmm....maybe someone can chime in on whether or not this would be able to be removed or not. It's something that the meisterschaft exhaust doesn't have and I personally think that meisterschaft sounds the best.

I'm absolutely sure that's why he got upset, but they are really small and don't fill the exhaust cutout well so it's a little upsetting.

After looking at some pictures compared the a setup like GThaus I can totally see what you mean now. It definitely doesn't look very good. Now I'm not sure if I want to go borla :-(
