Why use the BeatSonic adapter....?
Thinking of changing my head unit to something newer for back-up cam and nav. I see the beatsonic but haven't figured out how come I need to spend the big bucks on it just to hook up a unit to the car's wiring as there are must be other alternatives.
My model is a 1998 LS400 regular stereo.
Any thoughts please chime in. I read the audio set-up thread.
Thanks!

Word on the forums is that the beatsonic takes the figuring out of the equation and allows use of the factory subwoofer.

I have a beatsonic SLA-21 dash kit & harness in my celsior for the simple fact that i didnt want to splice and chase down wires. I like it to be simply plug and play also I was able to retain my factory sub/amp and use my aftermarket one at the same time, but I just unplugged it and can plug it all back in when I go back to stock soon. Also I got mine for roughly $120 rather than the normal $300 you see since it was used.

If you have a 98-00 LS400, you'll need the SLA-22 kit. I just got mine's, it was a grip......but think about it, you don't have to buy a separate sub and amp for your head unit. It's mad expensive, I agree, but I tried all the stuff out there, and none of the metra or scosche harness fits. I didn't feel like splicing wires and figuring how to make a harness, and I didn't like the idea of running speakers wires to each speaker to bypass the amp. Anyways, it's up to you, there's a hard way and there's an easy way.
