tie rods and ball joints and tranny mount
my '93 has 235k on it and the tie rods and ball joints have never been replaced. surprisingly, it still is not horribly "loose", but i have found a local mechanic who is working out of his garage to get $ to open his own shop, and will work for $50/hr. he has done things on another of my cars, and my son's car, and does good work. i have decided to get the arnott UCAs to keep the rubbger bushings. i am looking at the tranny mount on ebay with Mac Auto Parts, as well as the tie rod package of four sold by omegaautostore for 62.99 (incl. shipping). has anyone bought these parts from these places and did you have any problems with the parts? also, does anyone have anything good/bad to say about any of the ebay lower ball joint sellers. they all seem to be about the same price.
and as a smelling salt substitute, i called the dealer and got their prices. ebay forever!

I've been running the Arnott UCA's for close to two years now and they're just fine. No issues with them. I think the other components you're looking at are a crap shoot... The price you have for the four inner/outer tie rods is extremely cheap. I'd be concerned with thier quality. I'd look at Beck Arnley or Moog if you wanted to save some money over OEM but still be relatively certain of getting a quality part.

i know the price is cheap. that is why i am wondering if anyone else has bought these from those sellers. i can't possibly be the only person to ever buy these off ebay. experience is a good teacher. especially someone else's experience.

got the arnott uca's from amazon for $178 + $12 shipping. got the lbj's from world suspension for $102. got the tie rods (all four) from omegaautostore off ebay for $63. got the trany mount for $50 + $8 shipping from mac auto parts. all installed w/ the alingment for $400, except the driver's side inner tie rod. it was made like the passenger side one and did not account for the steering dasmpner. that rod was the least worn piece so we just put the original back in. everything else fit fine. steering is much tighter and less chatter over small bumps. total cost of front end about $810, installed, and including the alignment.
