Default Changed my ball joints and outer tie rods

Hey guys, just wanted to give you an update.

I changed my ball joints and outer tie rods over the weekend, and got an alignment done.

No more notorious wheel shake 65+
No more clunking
Stiffer steering, but it feels great!

I installed all MOOG parts. If you do the same, please remember you need to grease these up, they come with the zerk fittings.

If you were putting this off, I suggest you just go ahead and do it. Ride is night and day!

Super easy, if you are doing the pit arm puller method, please note if you use the same puller for the ball joint, it may slip a few times but it can work. For some reason, hammering on them didn't pop them out

I may sell my car soon so figured I wouldn't waste to much on other repairs.

speaking of which, i gotta regrease my ball joints. First thing i did were the ball joints, did my inner tie rods last month, up next are rack bushings and motor mounts and my steering should be nice and tight again.

So i replaced my balljoints a year ago, but not the tie rods. The car doesn't have a shimmy, the wheel seems solid when I put my hands at 3 and 9, but if I grab the actual tie rod, I can turn it side to side (for example the turning it from front to rear, but no play up and down) Is that normal? I'm going to replace them soon, but I'm just wondering if it can wait.

I've already replaced the struts, upper control arms, caster arms, ball joints, sway bay bushings, swaybar endlinks, steering rack bushings, and I still have a ****ing occasional clunk noise.

I'm not sure if its because of the harsh weather, but now I'm getting a squeak front the front suspension when I slowly hit bumps and what not. Will this go away?

I'm going to give it another grease this weekend to see if that helps.

possible sway bar bushings... you take off the bracket and take the bushing out and re grease them... could be dry...
