Question Head scratcher

Hey Yall, Im a hillbilly with a lexus.lol.. this just happend yesterday... drove the car, runs fine, got home, put in park the key wont turn all the way off, and wont come out... it will turn on just fine and runns fine.. still driving it.. but so can anybody else!!! any thoughts on this??? Thanks..RazorBacker1

its either not in park all the way or the gear selector switch is broken (or neutral safety switch)

car seem to think its not in park.

this happens to me many times when i have stuff sitting in front of the shifter. its always some little thing getting jammed inbetween.

Had exactly the same on my Jaguar (amongst loads of other glitches). If I left oit for 10 minutes or so, the key would come out. But othertimes it came straight out, no fuss. I suspect it was fluff or something in the gear selector which made the car think it was not in "P" (Jag now gone wooo-hoooo)

lol mines does this too...try moving the shifter while in park either to the left or the right then turn the key to the on position and then try to turn it to lock and pull it out.... that's the trick I have to use lol
