Default Key won't come out of ignition

Ok so this is really weird. When i park my car and turn it off the key wont come out of the ignition. I have to put it in on then back to off a few times. Why is this happening? I know I have the car in park and it doesnt do this all the time. Anyone else had this problem?

When you put it in parking, make sure to give the shifter a little tug to the left. I know you're in "P", but it may not be all the way..Try it and LMK

I already thought of that and tried and it didnt work. that was my first thought is that i didnt put it all the way in park. i tried to push it to the right then back to the left hard and it didnt do anything. i had to turn the key back and forth a few times to get it out

Then I wouldn't know lol. I had this happen a few times, and I always tugged on the shifter. Hopefully someone else chimes in.

Did you try moving the steering wheel? i know sometimes when your steering wheel is locked, you'll have a hard time taking out your key.

Those would be the culprit.

I've tried all of that. First I try tomove the shift. then the wheel. Neither works. The wheel is locked like it won't move either way. Just turning the key back and fourth makes it work

The lock cylinder is going bad. Most locksmiths can come out for the repair. According to my friend this happened to his GS? Good Luck

The car is not reading it is in "park". Maybe the shift solenoid or cable.
