Mad Respect from Toronto
What's up CL peeps. I'm new to the site and just reclaimed my '91 LS400 which was running limo for a bit. The car took a hit in the front and we've had to pull it off duty. Had to fork out some cash to work on the suspension (went to Lexus direct, won't be doing that again, costs too much $$$$$) and it's running smooth like it ever was. The engine is still in order, that engine never dies man. After seeing some of your rides though, I'm getting the jones to trick the car up now.
Serious peer pressure.
I was reading up one of Lou Le's posts and got some good info on the different mods available. I wish I had that list before I hit up Lexus still. Now that the suspension is in order, I'm checking out the various body kits available. The hood is dented and the grill is broken and it needs replacement. So my logic is if I'm going to do all that, might as well trick the the body up too and get it all painted again.
I went to Retrodrive's site and was peeping some of the kits he had posted up on there. I'm really feeling the madspeed kit, can't seem to find them on the net though.
The car is dark green the gray lower panels. I haven't seen any body kits that feature the same color combo but I like the color fine, gives it the long sleek lines. If you got personal opinions and suggestions, I'll be glad to hear it.
I come from a background of american brand cars and this is the first Japanese car I've ever had...I don't think I'll be going domestic again.
Thanks and Peace.

That car is ill man! That's what I would like to aim for; a nice clean finish. I gotta get my hood and grill dealt with first. Scarborough Lexus (Toronto) gave me a price of $1000 CDN for the hood and stock grill. I would pay if I don't got another avenue to take. I've been looking for aftermarket hoods and grills. I see L-tuned as grills but now I gotta find this hood. I'll keep scanning the site see if anyone has run into this need. If you got a link, send it my way.
Peace.
I definitely see the benefit of keeping the green.

That's a nice fit to your ride man. How much was the grill and where did you order it from? I'll contact them, hopefully it's not as much as a stock grille.
Peace.

go to www.performancecenter.com
they will have it for 155.99 + shipping (9.99) + tax (CA only)
theres also a wait of 2-3 weeks, because its a special order... but its better now to get or else they wont make it anymore

Maybe you could buy the'cut-out' grill bars--7 or 8; probably look about the same. But you would have to mount on 2 vertical bars.

Does anyone make aftermarket hoods for the LS or is it a dealer item only. My inquiries are turning up nothing.
good looking out on the the grill, Persian. With the exchange, it's way cheaper to go to performance center instead of the dealer.
