90-94 LS400 Fuel Injectors/Rail Interchangeable with the 95-97LS400?
90-94 LS400 Fuel Injectors/Rail Interchangeable with the 95-97LS400? Two of my Fuel Injectors are not pumping out fuel. I found used Fuel Injectors / Fuel Rail from a 97 LS400 that had 40k, and the guy that was selling them to me told me that from 90-97 the Fuel Injectors/ Fuel Rails are the same.. And in 98 they change. How true is this??

Injectors
I have a 1992 LS400 and I replaced all 8 injectors with a 1996 injectors. I had to go to NAPA to buy injector kits, o-rings. I didn't replace the fuel rails. My old injectors were fine but the dealer told me that one of the injectors were bad. $3k to do the work with 8 new injectors. I replaced with used ones at home that costs me 239.00. I wasted 100.00 of diagnostic test. The problem was a spark plug wire shorting.

Yes, they are shorter but it will work because it is working for me since I installed them sometime in November 2002; about 13,000 miles later. Don't forget to buy injector kits from NAPA because you will need it. The old seals will crumbles and o-rings and gaskets are hard. The kits were 12.00 per and you need 8. Costs me around 96.00. I didn't think they would work either when I compared the two but they do. I don't have alot of money so I do alot of my own repair.
My trunk now won't open, the key dosn't work and the pull lever doesn't work. My radio fades to statics after a few seconds of turning it on. If you have any suggestion I appreciated. I will tackle the problems when it gets warmer. Suppose to snow tonight. April 8th, 2004.
