Default nexlexusparts.com ?

Hi everyone,
Wow! This is a great website! I never expected to find something like this! A lot of very helpful info and very nice people in here!

Anyway, this is my first post, and I do have some questions to ask!

Has anyone purchased from newlexusparts.com ? Are they a real Lexus dealer? do they sell only original Lexus parts? I am thinking about purchasing parts from them, as the Lexus dealer here in Tucson
charges very high prices for parts. ($80 timing belt, $230 water pump, $160 cable set, $150 for a set of 8 spark plugs, fuel filter $50, etc) Almost everything at newlexusparts.com is 1/3 cheaper. That should save me a couple of hundred of dollars on parts alone for my 100K service.

Speaking of 100K service, as you can see, I am thinking about getting the parts myself, but I don't know how to change them (and I don't have any tools except the ones that came with the car). So I am thinking about getting the parts then have a mechanic put them on for me. Does anyone know how much the labor should cost me (timing belt, water pump, (should I change the idlers, tensioner too?) , spark plugs, spark plug cable, fuel filter, maybe (fuel injector?)..

My car is a 93 LS 400 with 97,000 miles.

thanks very much

I've never purchased from them, but I saw their website.
I usually buy parts from http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...ont&siteid=401
their prices are a lot cheaper than what you listed and they only sell OEM parts.

Here's what you need:
- Timing belt - 53
- Idlers (lefr, right) - 64+99 or eBay
- Water pump - 158 or eBay
- Wires - 110
- Plugs - eBay
- Distributor Cap - 17x2
- Rotor - 8 x2
- Fuel filter - 28
- Air filter - 15
- A new thermostat - since they're going to open the thing any way. - 11
- PCV - 8

Labor should be about $400 tops.
If you go to dealer for work, they will probubly charge 1K for this work.
