Default In case you were wondering...

A new interior door handle is $160. And the door lock itself is $900 from the stealership. Looks like it's off to eBay I go.

Door hasn't been locking right. Would lock sometimes and not others. Very slow to lock. Took off door handle and found the handle plastic that holds the cable was broken and in the process of removing the panel it separated and fell apart. No idea on the lock. Everything is well lubed and it still moves slowly or not at all. If I manually use the interior lock there is no binding and it's smooth as butter. So I'm guessing it's some dying motor.

Oh and the best part is I'm leaving on vaca tomorrow and the wife is going to be driving the LS. Boy is she going to be happy to hear she has to roll down the window to open the door. Hahaha. That ought to go over well.

So if anyone comes across any good deals feel free to point me in the right direction. I've already seen some door lock actuators for around $200 but I'm only assuming that is the problem. What else could it be?

DIY can save you money. Dealership are not in the business for charity.

I was able to rig the door to open from the inside by drilling through the PLASTIC, and putting a screw in to hold the cable end. So at least I can open the door from the inside. Door lock is based solely on luck. But the wife is dealing with that. I'm on the Hayabusa!
