LS 460 DRL high beam mod question
Need some help in deciding if upgrading the DRL yellow halogen bulb is worth the trouble in my 08 LS 460. I realize that there is an after market LED kit with a R4 decoder from iJDMToy. What I cant make out from the prior posted threads on this issue is if the decoder fits inside the capped housing or is the cap to be left out. If left out wouldn't that expose the inner electricals to moisture and dust.
Also is there any non LED alternative like a halogen bulb with sky blue tint that can replace the awful yellow OEM bulb ?
Thank you

You need to put the covers back on. I did the mod as listed on this site and the decoder fits but you have to work it in a bit. If the decoder from the kit you see is bigger than probably won't.

if iJDMToy is using the same decoder, i removed the housing and wrapped it with electrical tape. i found this method when i was researching the mod. i don't have it on anymore since i turned off the DRL, but when i had it on for a year, i had no issues...
