RV towing my LS460
I have had my LS460 for 10 years now and love it ...it is in great condition with its 200,000km on it. So rather than sell it at this stage I would like to start towing it behind our RV. Can this be done...has anyone ever towed theirs? Can it be modified to tow?

I'd say first off make sure your RV is rated to tow your Lexus. These cars are 4500lbs or so, most of the time I see RV's pulling something like a Jeep, Geo Tracker, Ford Fiesta or some other small car that weighs less than 3000lbs. If you are going up in the mountains, I'd make sure the tow rating and gross vehicle weight ratings are WAY more than what your Lexus weighs. IE I wouldn't tow a 4500lb car behind an RV that's rated to tow 5000lbs and is pushing the gross vehicle weight ratings. Better to have something that has more capability(ie bigger chassis, bigger brakes, higher hp engine) and won't struggle pulling your car.

It can be done, but because this isn't a common vehicle, AT ALL, to be a 'toad', it's gonna require some creativity.
You have two options for disconnecting the driveline.
1. Driveshaft disconnect
2. Electric transmission fluid pump.
The first one isn't likely to exist. Not enough demand.
The second can be cobbled together, no problem, regardless of the vehicle, however, you then trust your multi-thousand dollar transmission's well-being to an electric pump.
Now comes the difficult part...the baseplate.
This is, I guarantee, going to be a one-off custom piece, and even then, you're going to have to get rather creative with mounting.
The above reasons are why in addition to the RX300 and the LS460, we also have a 1998 Grand Cherokee 5.9L. It was already set up to be a toad, which was a very nice bonus, and it'll go pretty much anywhere I point it (within reason).
tofu, a dolly would merely lift the front wheels off the ground, which does nothing for the transmission.
"But you can back it onto the dolly! Problem solved!"
Nope. The nose being as heavy as it is, means it's going to sway back-and-forth. Plus, even with the steering wheel tied as tightly as possible, there are steering links which all have play in them the rear suspension assembly does not.
