When I play my ipod through my aux jack, plays fine. When I hook my phone to aux jack and play Pandora, I get nothing. How do I get sound from my phone to play on the aux jack?

It is an iphone 5s. Not sure about the ipod - bought it about a year ago. My son's 4s played through the jack tonight. He suggested it had something to do with my Bluetooth being on and the music was trying to play through Bluetooth instead of the aux jack?

And yes, I connected my headphone out to the aux jack.

Turn your volume up on the phone while it is plugged into the headphone jack. Although it may be turned up when not plugged in, the level could be at 0 when it is plugged in.

or

Do you have it also plugged into the USB of the car? What year is your LS so we can rule out bluetooth?

I have a 5s as well and the problem stated above is what I had. Whenever I plugged it in, the volume went to zero.

Plugged what in, the charger cable or the headphone cable? Which volume went to zero, the radio or the iPhone?

The iPhone stores the value for your volume level for both 1) when the headphone jack has something plugged into it, and 2) when nothing is plugged into it. So you may be listening to your music on full blast using the phone with its little speaker, but when you plug in the headphone jack, it will switch to that last stored volume level that it was at last time something was plugged in, which was probably turned all the way down. So plug the phone into the AUX, then play music, set the Lexus to like 15 on the volume **** and push the + button on the side of the phone until all of those little volume blocks fill up.
