What the heck does the "ECT" mean on the "Power/Snow" switch of my new '03 LS430? I could understand "ETC" (as in ecetera) or "EXT" as in ("extra" power). But ECT??? HUH?

In my understanding and experience, ECT changes the transmission shifting to higher RPMs in each gear. This produces more aggressive acceleration and power. I leave my ECT on most of the time. Hope this is not harder on the engine or transmission.
