yes i understand all cars are made in japan but his service computer is only limited to US cars, unless i am wrong and his system sees all VINs from all countries (highly doubt it).

different regions use different VIN specifications. If the car was an original UK car (or currently registered there) you could try the DVLA's vehicle enquiry service: https://www.vehicleenquiry.service.gov.uk/ as registration is tied to the number plate rather than the vin. the VIN should appear on the rego and confirm.

When ran against a UK/Euro compliant VIN check site, your car comes up as a petrol powered Toyota LS400 in dark green. Example: http://www.autodna.com/vin/JT153UF2000118724

Stop using US vin check sites and you'll find results just fine.

Have you tried that site that is for people who are do-it-yourself enthusiasts and own toyotas? (can't post a link or name here, it gets blocked) They seem to have a pretty good idea about VINs... and should tell you if yours is valid.
