Battery Died now get "Check VSC"
I went to start the car this morning and found it out the battery was dead (my boyfriend said he had noticed a door ajar this morning and closed it, but evidently too late).
I did a 30 minute, 6A / 12V quick charge with my battery charger (plugs into 120V AC) -- left the battery connected to the car (as both my brother and boyfriend said it was okay to do so).
Disconnected the battery charger and the car started.
I drove to the grocery store, and on the way noticed "CHECK VSC" on the dash display. Also the "VSC OFF" light was on. I tried pressing the VSC button and nothing happens. Still says "CHECK VSC".
Any ideas what happened?
Thanks,
Jennifer

Don't worry Jennifer. All you need to do is just wait about 20 seconds next time when you start the engine.
If that's not OK, try one more method written at below.

Lead Lap
Maybe. Follow the reset procedure in your owners manual. But make sure that the battery cable clamps are bright and shiny and apply a thin coat of something like Vaseline to them to retard corrosion. Cable clamp / battery post cleaning tools are available at auto parts stores. I've avoided or delayed replacing batteries a few times simply by cleaning the battery terminals and cable clamps.
