Default Need wheel and tire advice

Will 19x8.5 +50 wheels with 245/35-19 tires fit with no issues on my 1999 LS400? Car has stock suspension and I am not modifying it -- not rolling the fenders either.

If these does not work, please let me know the largest wheel/tire combo that will work.

if nothing else will be changed, i'd recommend 245/45-18, i have bridgestone turanza serenity plus in that size and they're great. the ride is nearly unchanged, only the handling is better over the stock 225/60-16 as there is less sidewall movement. also, the 245/45-18 is the same overall diameter as the stock tires so the speedometer remains calibrated and ive never had any issues with rubbing or anything

Looking to put 18" LS430 replica (245/45-18) on my 96 this spring, do you think it would still clear with a ~1-1.5" drop?

Looking at your car I would say yes, very nice BTW

well thanks a bunch, i saw a set of 4 remanufactured oem wheels on ebay for $1100 so i quickly went and bought them, having been looking for a set for awhile. as for if it would still clear, i dont know. i've decided to stay away from lowering it, i was driving behind a friend of mine with an A4 that he lowered and put bigger wheels on and he has to be incredibly cautious when going over anything. i'm quite happy with the ground clearance considering there's already some places where the car just barely makes it.

assuming those wheels clear the front brake calipers (at that offset it should), i don't see an issue with that tire size. there might be some rubbing up front when going from lock to lock but there should be no rubbing on the outer fenders.

Still shopping around for wheels and tires. Looking at 18x9 +40 wheels and 255 45 18 tires. Will this combo work on my '99? Looking to have a little bit more sidewall.

looks like it will fit!

use this site to find the ideal tire size. you always want to stay within 2% error difference from stock. anything more or less will result in not fitting properly and inaccurate speedo readings.

255/45-18 has a 1.5% difference, this is ok. how easy is it to get this size though? i've never seen it.
