92 LS: I heard that...
I heard (through some various reading) that Mk3 Supra coilovers will fit on our cars with VERY minor modification. The only thing is that the rear strut would be shorter (based on my collected knowledge). Can anyone provide more insight on this hypothesis? It would unlock so many more possibilities for a stiffer/more race oriented suspension set-up.
Thanks!

there's NO good reason for doing this. the modifications required are not minor, the valving for the shocks are completely off, and the mk3 doesn't have such amazing suspension options available anyways (I know, I have one.).
BC Racing, PBM, and Stance can all make you custom sprung/valved coilovers that will do what you wish. And they'd have the added benefit of being designed for the LS.

Actually I have seen Cusco MK3 Coilovers on an LS400, and it was dumped as hell.
PD does have a point though, back then when coilover options were super limited it made more sense to try to find an alternative option such as the MK3 supra but now you have all these companies designing suspension specifically for the LS400, might as well go with the better designed option.

cusco makes coils for the LS too. hell ALL the big jdm companies make coils for the LS/Celsior, they just aren't regularly available in the US. Tanabe, Buddy Club, Cusco, JIC, etc... will all sell you a set as long as you're willing to pay and wait for the next shipment...

I never saw your response, lol. Reviving the thread 2 years later. Anyway, the reason why I was saying the stroke was too long was because the shock traveled too much and allowed my UCA to smack my shock towers. My car was too low for one and secondly, I made clearance holes which completely eliminated the issue. The Megans ride perfectly fine.
