Im curious on what people know about the compatibility of coil overs on the LS , I have owned SC/SUPRA and a GS and understand their compatibility but never thought to ask about the wifes LS.

This would be on a first gen LS

 

Many coilovers will fit the LS, as long as the bottom of the strut bolts up and the top mount matches. For example, you can use Q45 fronts and GS fronts and they will work fine. I've seen one guy put R32 sedan rears on his rears.

Just keep in mind the weight of the car the coilovers are coming off of.

 

as far as i know no coilovers from OTHER models fit/bolt on to the 1LS.

the 95-00 LS can use coilovers that were made for the 89-94 but the 89-94 CAN"T use the coilovers made for the 95-00 since they are too long.

 

There may be some that will bolt up, as far as spring rates and dampening...that will be the challenge.

 

Can UCF30 model cars use our coilovers?

 

I understand spring rates and valving, I use allot of coilovers and can change spring rates. I was just curious on what models interchange. I saw a LS that had advertised MK3 supra suspension before and it got my wheels turning.

Also what coilovers are available for the LS?

 

no, top mounts are different as is the overall length iirc.
